Class Two
Hebden Bridge Town and Market
We walked to Hebden Bridge. Our first stop was the Town Hall where Jason Boom, the Town Council Clerk, explained all about the Council chambers and building. We then visited the market and some of the important buildings of the town. Finally we went to Hat Therapy where Chrissy showed us her workshop.
Forces
We have been exploring forces. Our investigations have explored the forces of magnetism, air and friction.
Gingerbread Man
Karen (Betsy's mum) brought in gingerbread men for us to decorate. They all looked fantastic and tasted great too.
Visiting the old school building
We visited our old classroom, hall, entrance and Early Years classroom. It has changed a lot!
Tropical Fish Tank
Thank you to Lauren's mum and dad for letting us borrow some of their wonderful sea creatures.
Sewing Christmas Tree Decorations and Calendars
We have all worked very hard with our sewing. We have been using different stitches such as blanket and running stitches.
Sewing - Making Christmas stockings with Chrissy
We designed, decorated and made Christmas stockings.

Sending letters to Father Christmas
Everyone wrote their own letter to Father Christmas. They have all been posted and he should receive them shortly. We are looking forward to his reply.
Tag Rugby
Rugby coaches came to our school. We had lots of fun and they taught us some Tag Rugby skills.
Science - Floating and Sinking
As part of our topic about oceans and seas we carried out an investigation. First we made predictions and then carried out an experiment. After recording our results we discussed our findings.
Under The Sea
We have been researching different aimals that live under the sea. We found out lots of interesting things.
Senses
We learnt about our senses and used them to explore the world around us.
Guy Fawkes and the Gunpowder Plot
We learnt about the Gunpowder plot and who Guy Fawkes was. We created firework pictures.
Collage
Everyone explored and experienced creating collage pictures using a range of different materials. Some of our collage work will be used to create our Christmas cards.
Big maps and Countries of the United Kingdom
We visited the Legoland Discovery Centre and saw the North West recreated in Lego with key iconic buildings and landscape features. We learnt about the countries that make up the United Kingdom.
Electricity
We learnt about electricity in our everyday lives, naming appliances and discussing dangers. We constructed simple electrical circuits using batteries, bulbs and wires. We made predictions and drew diagrams of our circuits.
Harvest Festival
We learnt about how harvest is celebrated and about being thankful, sharing and giving.
