Monday 27th February 2012 - Skipton Castle.
As part of our History topic about The Normans we visited Skipton Castle for the day.
We had a guided tour all around the castle and learnt all about who has lived there, how a castle defends it self, what happened to you if you tried to get in to the castle and we even got to go in the dungeon.
We had a fantastic day!
Thursday 24th November 2011 - Yorkshire Farming Museum, York.
As part of our history topic about The Vikings we visited the Yorkshire Farming Museum near York.
We were dressed up as Vikings and split up into three families. We went outside to a real viking village where we learnt all about Viking houses and village life.
We also took part in lots of different activities that The Vikings would have had to have done every day, such as grinding corn, making bread, guard duty, oil lamp making, farming, wood collecting and cleaning the houses.
We had a fantastic day!
