Safeguarding

Welcome to our Safeguarding Page.

Although, thankfully, we have very few incidents of a Safeguarding nature here at Heptonstall this does NOT mean that we don’t take the issue extremely seriously.

We pride ourselves on creating a safe environment where our children can thrive.

Staff receive regular updates regarding safeguarding procedures and policies and all staff employed by school have read part one of Keeping Children Safe in Education (September 2016 edition). All staff also received an annual Safeguarding update in September 2016.

Our Designated Safeguarding Lead is Mr Perrin (contact via school phone or head@heptonstall.calderdale.sch.uk)

The Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead is Miss Robertshaw (contact via school phone or admin@heptonstall.calderdale.sch.uk)

The Governor with responsibility for safeguarding is Christine Scarborough (contact via governors@heptonsall.calderdale.sch.uk)

If any of you ever have any concerns regarding the safety of a child (whether this is an “in-school” issue or an “out of school” issue then please contact one of the above named adults.

Below you will find the policies and procedures which we use to ensure that the children in our care our safe and protected.
