A warm welcome to Heptonstall Junior & Infant School
Set in the picturesque village of Heptonstall, high above Hebden Bridge and with magnificent views of the Calder Valley, ours is a small, happy and vibrant school.
Our Ethos and Values
In our school we aim to provide a happy, secure and caring environment in which children are encouraged to do their best at all times – in learning and in play.
We aim for high standards in teaching and learning, and in behaviour. We endeavour to educate the ‘whole child’; fostering social and personal, as well as academic, excellence. We want our children to develop an understanding of our society, based on tolerance and respect for others.
A tour around our school
We are very proud of our school which was built in 1879. The school went through a £2 million refurbishment between January 2011 and September 2012.
We have 3 classes;
Acorn: Reception & Year One
Sapling: Year Two, Year Three & Year Four
Oak: Year Five & Year Six.
The school has excellent outdoor facilities, a magnificent hall, a cooking room and a computer suite/library.
The tour was filmed in November 2020 so due to Covid -19 guidelines certain areas are slightly different in layout (for example how children desks are arranged) to how they would be usually.
