Early Bird Catches the Worm

Another case of a day early “Friday” Dojo today, as tomorrow I will be accompanying Acorn Class to Staups Lea farm (and before and after that collecting and retuning the minibus to Dean Field School who are kindly lending us this free of charge for the day).

This has been another week where the Amazon driver has had a few calls (and Northern Gas detours!) up here delivering yet more books from the Wishlist so generously gifted to school by you. I really want to say a HUGE thank you to all the parents who have “treated” the children in this way. It is so much appreciated.

My thanks again to the PFA for putting this list of books together.

More thanks to the PFA this week who have agreed, as they have for the past few years, to fund the cost of the performance license and materials for the Whole School Show that we traditionally perform the penultimate week of the summer term. We applied for and were granted the license this week. The scripts for the show actually arrived a couple of hours ago! As always – for fun - the title of the show will remain a closely guarded secret just for now – with maybe a few clues on the way before the reveal. The children love this anticipation - they know just how far I’ll go to keep the suspense going!

I can tell you that the performances will be on the afternoon of Tuesday 9th July and the evening of Wednesday 10th July.

My weekly Dojo will also come out on Thursday next week as we are closed on Friday 3rd, Monday 6th (Bank Holiday Monday) and Tuesday 7th May.

I hope you all have a lovey weekend when it comes. Would some warm, dry weather and sunshine really be too much to ask for?!
