Good Work Breaking the Rules!

Thank you for letting your children break the rules today! It is a day that the children really enjoy – they have been SO excited this morning! -and of course it also raises money for the PFA.

The PFA have recently given the school some funds to buy equipment for the Before School Club – and although its only February it won’t be long before we are asking them to once again fund our Summer Show. Miss Robertshaw and I have just about come to a decision on what this year’s "blockbuster" is going to be and all will be revealed (clue by clue) nearer the time!

Just before Christmas, Carley from Studio C Photography, came into school to take individual/family photos. If you have not yet ordered yours it’s not too late! Either return the form that was sent out in book bags or if you cannot find it you can email Carley directly at:

carley@studiocphotography.co.uk

I hope to see many of you at our first Good Work Assembly of 2024 this afternoon. Doors will open at 2.35pm and the assembly will begin at 2.45pm.

The pre-assembly slide show will feature photographs from the recent art and poetry workshops that some of our children have had (accompanied of course by some lovely country music songs about either painting or poetry!). The painting that I talked about last week that we produced as a joint school project with the other schools in the Family of Learning Trust is now hanging proudly in our hall so you will be able to see it first hand.

As you know we aim to do a Good Work Assembly once a month where possible on the first Friday of each month.

The Good Work Assemblies for the rest of this academic year will be on:

  • Friday 1st March

  • Friday 26th April (1st April is during the Easter holiday and we are off on the 3rd May)

  • Friday 7th June

  • Friday 5th July

Finally I am sure you will join all of us in the Heptonstall family in sending our love to one of our families whose little girl has been quite poorly in hospital this last week. I was very pleased to hear this morning that she is now getting much better. We are all thinking of them and sending hugs from school.

I hope you all have a lovely weekend.
